Product Condition and Limited Warranty Policy
Effective date: August 7, 2026
1. Product-specific terms control
The applicable product description, condition classification, invoice, quotation, and written order confirmation form part of the purchase terms.
A warranty or condition representation applies only when it is stated:
- On the product page
- In the invoice
- In the quotation
- In the purchase agreement
- In another authorized written commitment
2. Condition commitment
AO Container Lines Inc. warrants that, at the time of delivery or pickup, the product will materially correspond to the condition and configuration stated in the accepted order documents.
3. Used-container characteristics
Used containers may show:
- Dents
- Scratches
- Surface corrosion
- Paint variation
- Previous markings
- Patches
- Weld repairs
- Floor wear
- Odour
- Signs of prior cargo use
- Door stiffness
- Cosmetic weathering
Such characteristics are not defects when they are consistent with the disclosed condition classification.
4. Claim period
A claim concerning an alleged material condition discrepancy existing at delivery should be submitted within the 18-day return period.
The customer should provide:
- Order number
- Description
- Photographs
- Video where useful
- Product identification
- Delivery documents
- Date the issue was discovered
5. Available remedies
When AO Container Lines Inc. confirms a covered discrepancy, it may provide an appropriate remedy such as:
- Repair
- Replacement
- Price adjustment
- Return
- Refund
The chosen remedy will take account of the product, severity, availability, cost, and applicable law.
6. Exclusions
A voluntary warranty does not cover:
- Ordinary cosmetic wear consistent with the product classification
- Damage after delivery
- Improper lifting
- Improper placement
- Unstable foundations
- Flooding
- Standing water
- Soil movement
- Improper drainage
- Customer modifications
- Welding, cutting, drilling, or painting
- Unauthorized repair
- Misuse
- Collision
- Overloading
- Improper transport after pickup
- Failure to maintain doors, seals, paint, drainage, or ventilation
- Corrosion developing after delivery
- Contents stored inside the container
- Condensation caused by environment, use, or ventilation
- Electrical, plumbing, refrigeration, mechanical, or modified systems unless expressly included in writing
7. No automatic suitability representation
A container is not automatically suitable for:
- Residential occupancy
- Food storage
- Chemical storage
- Hazardous-material storage
- International cargo transport
- Refrigerated use
- Structural building use
- Medical use
- Code-regulated occupancy
Suitability must be established for the customer's intended application.
8. Non-waivable rights
Nothing in this policy limits a right or remedy that cannot lawfully be excluded.
