Door configuration and design determine how you load, access, and use a container. Compare the main types below.
Standard Dry Van
The classic sealed steel box with double cargo doors at one end. The default for storage and transport.
Suits: General storage, transport, site use
High-Cube
Same footprint, one extra foot of height. More usable volume and headroom for racking or conversion.
Suits: Tall storage, workshops, conversions
Open-Side / Full-Side-Opening
Bi-fold doors along one full side plus standard end doors. Forklift access to the entire floor.
Suits: Palletised goods, markets, workshops
Double-Door / Tunnel
Cargo doors at both ends. Load and unload from either side, or partition into two zones.
Suits: Equipment access, partitioned storage
Open-Top
Removable tarpaulin roof for top-loading with a crane. Listed when stock is available.
Suits: Machinery, oversized cargo
Custom-Modified
Doors, windows, ventilation, insulation, electrical, paint, and structural work built to an approved specification.
Suits: Offices, kiosks, specialised projects
